Trifibre Launches the UK’s First Flight Case Hospital

For many years, Trifibre has been working with its customers in partnership to service long serving flight cases.

The life of a typical flight case can sometimes be very varied and severe. Whether it’s on a regular global route around the world having to take on extreme climate changes, storage, knocks and bangs from unconventional freight handling systems or, it’s simply being used to deliver high value engineered products between local destinations – the life of a flight case can vary considerably.

Trifibre has used its experience with customers to monitor and record the types of damage as well as wear and tear from cases which have been in service for many years, returned to us for refurbishment and a little TLC!

Findings show that although the overall build and structure of cases are perfectly intact, hardware (hinges, locks and wheels etc) as well as bespoke foam interiors are often the areas of most concern.

With the recent increase in floor space and manufacturing capacity at its Leicester facility, Trifibre is now rolling out its “Flight Case Hospital” to all owners and users of flight cases, whether they are manufactured by Trifibre or not.
